April is National Poetry Month as I've probably said more than I should. I just learned that April is also Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month.

In acknowledgment of MSAM, today's poem is from poet and mathematician JoAnn Growney's blog Intersections--Poetry with Mathematics.

Growney tells us that this is the only maths poem written by Richard Harris and is titled My Case for 1 + 1 = 2 as the Greatest Equation. Growney provides more information about the poem which was included in a book by Robert Crease, a physicist and historian of physics.
