Over at Why Evolution is True (WEIT), the website of Jerry Coyne, Professor Emeritus, Evolutionary Biology, University of Chicago, is posted a story of pollination by Athayde Tonhasca JĂșnior, a regular contributor to the website. It is an important part of the history of science.

When I read stories like this I tell myself not to be surprised by what nature can do to solve problems of life but often I am. I'm always pleased by the reminder. This is about a new level of deception and cheating.

As usual it is explained and illustrated. And you may learn a new term or two.

Thanks to WEIT and to Athayde Tonhasca Junior for another of his scientific tales.
