Site specific performances have been a part of the Center for Global Environmental Education's history. Mary Lee Hardenburgh, an artist-in-residence for approximately 20 years, created a dance performance along the Mississippi River near the Stone Arch Bridge. These were an annual event, held on the Summer Solstice.

This leads me to Julie Gautier, a freediver, underwater cinematographer and artist (dance).

Her performance and film work is breathtakingly beautiful.

This is a six-minute performance piece titled Ama which was filmed in the world's deepest diving pool (40 meters) in Padua, Italy.
